About Me

Geoffrey
Currently back in UK as more Cornish mining and geology has to be completed. ---------------------------------------------------- ME: I have worked extensively in construction and civil engineering with 3 years spent as a mining engineer in Cornwall. I studied natural sciences (which includes earth and planetary sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology) and obtained a university certificate in natural sciences. ARCHAEOLOGY: I have worked in conjunction with CAU on tin mining as industrial archaeology and also have published a paper on stoping techniques with two colleagues from SJMRG*. TIN MINING: Mining geology varies according to which part of the country that you are mining. Cornwall is rich in tin and copper which occurs in granite rock formations. I am a member of the *St Just Mines Research Group which is based in West Cornwall.
